Ya he terminado

I'm DONE!

I guess this kind of rounds everything out. In January I didn't feel like I was starting an actual semester, and now at the end of May I don't feel as if I've actually ended a semester. Maybe it's because I actually had fun this semester :) I enjoyed my classes, traveled a lot and spent almost every day running around the marvelous city of Madrid.

All of last week's stressed-out-ness is absolutely worth the satisfaction I'm feeling right now. I look back on these five months and can do nothing but smile. I love my señora, I love her family, I love my friends, I love my teachers, I love this language, I love this city, I love this metro, I love all the memories I have bursting out of my mind. My heart simply refuses to absorb the fact that I will be leaving this basically tomorrow. My head knows it but my heart ignores it. That said, I know the moment I walk out of the terminal and see my family, the moment I run around my own house, the moment I set foot on Maryland's campus, the moment I squeeze hug all my friends, it will be like letting out a huge sigh of relief. I'll be back to my regular old life, and as Dorothy so contritely said, there's no place like home.

:)
