Despite the fact that it's Monday and I'm back in Madrid, pure, unexplainable happiness is what I'm feeling right now and have felt all day today. Really, it's bordering on childlike giddiness.
Unfortunately, (and I'm so sorry to disappoint), but the full recount of Lisbon isn't coming today. Heck, you may just have to wait for the book to come out, that's seriously how much I have to write about Lisbon. I cannot even begin to explain how much I enjoyed this weekend, or the amount of thoughts, images and commentary I have pouring out of my head. I promise, eventually, all the details will come. I also still have to write about the opera and the botanical gardens and my day trip to Egypt....so dynamic is my life abroad.
But some other news - I'M GOING TO LONDON!!!!! Finally, spring break is settled. Five days in London chilling with Rama auntie, Gola uncle, Rishi bhiaya, and of course, with Sareena. ZOMG British accents and Indian food and my second-favorite city in the world. (Though after this weekend's trip to Lisbon, that list will have to be reorganized). Anyways, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
As much as I want to go to London, I also don't want to because going to London means I'll be on spring break, which means I'll be more than halfway through the semester. Which means I'll be going back home soon. And the longer I'm here the more I'm just loving loving loving it. Of course, I still miss you all from home....but I've also kind of settled into the groove here, and as much as I can't believe I'm saying it, I'm getting used to being so far away from home. I mean, it's not as if I am out of communication with everyone - thanks to calling cards, Skype, facebook, e-mail, AIM, this blog, we're still in touch.
I know.....how bout you all come join me here instead!
P.S. Despite my not-exactly-wanting to-think-about-coming-home thing, I was super-excited to see next year's class schedule posted on Testudo...there went any plans to be productive this afternoon. :-P
