How is it that I´m really good at planning things I can´t (like my life for example), but when it comes to planning a trip or something practical like that, I fail miserably.
Will somebody from home just fly over here for spring break so I can have somebody to travel with?
Sigh. Maybe I should follow Papa´s advice and just chill out because things have a way of working out in the end.
In any case, today has been a frustrating day. First, it´s raining, and even though this city and country desperately need the rain, cloudy skies don´t really make for a very promising day. This morning I spilled coffee on my jeans, and then cough syrup on my sweater, meaning every time I went to rest my chin in my palm during class, I got a sickly-sweet whiff of some unpronounceable chemical. Oh well, at least it´s a chemical that works, because my cough is finally gone.
Class was whatever - I finally did my presentation in the EU class, which simply consisted of reading off the demographic, political and economic data of the Benelux countries. Oh yeah, and found out some slightly important news: it turns out I do actually have final exams.
On the first days of class, I thought Marisa, who teaches three of my five classes, told us that we wouldn´t be having final exams at all. Turns out, she meant that we won´t be having cumulative final exams, but we will be having exams during the final exam period. Oh well, I guess it´s better that I´m finding that out now rather than in May.
Señora is having hip replacement surgery tomorrow and is leaving for the hospital tonight. Even though she´ll be gone for the whole week, one of her daughters will be coming to make me dinner and keep me company during the evening.
I´ll write about this weekend when I´m in a more spirited mood. Right now all I want to do is sleep.
